Choice of Shipping Destinations

You can either choose to ship to the exclusive general service contractor´s warehouse or directly to the exhibit hall. Each destination has distinct advantages.

Why ship to the warehouse?

If time allows, shipping to the warehouse can be your best choice of destination. If you ship your materials in advance to the exclusive general service contractor´s warehouse, it is their responsibility to deliver your materials to the exhibit hall during move-in.

If time allows you to ship to the warehouse, it enables you to check on the arrival of your shipment at the warehouse and solve any problems that might occur en route. Shipment to the warehouse also ensures that your exhibit will be in your booth location on time. There´s no waiting time at the dock, which lessens the possibility of compounded delays.

Guidelines for warehouse shipments

To maximize the full advantage of shipping to the warehouse, be sure delivery takes place within the time frame specified on the shipping instructions page located in the Exhibitor Manual. There are no advantages to warehouse shipments if you cannot comply with these deadline dates. Some tips and suggestions for warehouse shipments inlcude:

• Use the shipping labels provided in the Exhibitor Manual and labeled as warehouse shipment. You may have to photocopy for additional labels, or make up your own labels using the exact addressed format.
• Use two labels per package (one on top of package and one on the side of the package), and be sure to specify show name, exhibitor name and booth number.
• All machinery must be crated. The warehouse will not accept uncrated deliveries due to difficulties in storing and handling them.
• Consign the shipment to the exclusive general service contractor using a bill of lading (or material handling agreement) from your designated carrier. Please be sure to complete this form correctly.
• Provide an office address and phone number where a responsible party may be reached should any problems arise en route to or upon delivery to the warehouse.

Warehouse shipping schedule

Freight can arrive at a particular starting date and have to be there no later than a particular date. These dates will be published in the Exhibitor Manual.
